January OTP Challenge: Day 1

Yes my friends, that's right! I'm doing the OTP Challenge! Not just for 30 days though. No, I'm challenging myself to do more! I'm doing a short little story with it! I will attempt to keep the stories/art in chronological order. That's not all though! NO! I'm going to do this Challenge once a month! That's right! Once every month! Meaning 360 drawings! Here's my plan:

January: Perryshmirtz (Perry and Doof from Phineas and Ferb)
February: Pinecest (Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls)
March: Midlink (Midna and Link from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess)
April: Stancest (Stan and Ford from Gravity Falls)
May: Doofogram (Doof and Monogram from Phineas and Ferb)
June: Style (Stan and Kyle from South Park)
July: ZaDR (Zim and Dib from Invader Zim)
August: Krazyshiping (Meouth and Pikachu from Pokemon)
September: Bunny (Butters and Kenny from South Park)
October: Rocketshipping (Jessie and James from Pokemon)
November: Jupper (Skipper and Julian from Penguins of Madagascar)
December: Diodeshipping (Ash and Clemont from Pokemon)

YUP! Now I have a LOT on my plate! I think I need to make a To Do list for myself. Anyway, I'm doing this not just as an excuse to draw, but also to practice. Each art piece will have a background of sorts because I want to work on those so I can do them more often. Course, you can clearly tell where the wholes in my paper are...

Spoilers for O.W.C.A. Files! Not just here, but for the whole month of January

Laughter.

That's what met Doofenshmirtz's ears when her told L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. that he could no longer be a part of their group. Well, not right away. There was silence at first, and then the laughter. He knew it would be hard giving up evil, but for Vanessa, it was worth it. Even if it meant scorn and laughter from the other evil scientists.

"That was a good one!" Bloodpudding came up to him, giving him a bit of a slap on the back. "I think you almost had us there!"

"Had you?" Doof asked. What did that mean? That didn't make any sense.

"Yea!" Dr. Diminutive came up to him. "That was a nice attempt at a joke, but you can't fool us."

"Joke?" Heinz echoed. They thought this was a joke? "No no no! This is no joke! I'm seriously quitting L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N!"

"Yea, right!" The chortling got louder, and Bloodpudding spoke again. "What are you going to do then, work for O.W.C.A?"

That made the Drusselsteinian's face begin to turn a little red. They had managed to figure that out that fast? That he was quitting so he could work for the agency that rivaled theirs?

"Oh...you are?" The guffawing died down this time, all of them realizing that was exactly what he was planning to do.

"Are you serious?" Many of them were now muttering among themselves, clearly displeased with this turn of events. Their leader was going to the good side?

"Y-Yes, I am serious!" The man tried to put on a brave face. To show that he meant it, he pulled off his lab coat and threw it to the ground. 

Within moments, the other's expressions were ones of anger, and they all began moving in on him.

"Uh, h-hey there now," Doof gave up on his brave face, raising his hands. "don't get hasty now! You wouldn't wanna do something you'd regret, now would you?"

"Oh, we won't regret this." A female scientist spoke, cracking her knuckles. We won't regret this one bit."

Doof gulped, suddenly afraid. Were they really going to...?

The first punch was about to be thrown when a sudden blur came out of nowhere and threw the arm to the side, stopping the assault. A teal blur...

Doof let out a sigh, realizing who it was. Of course he would follow him. That platypus had saved him too many times to count, and this was just one instance.

All of the attackers halted in their tracks. They knew who this animal was. Even if he didn't have the Fedora on, they would be able to tell by simply looking into his eyes. Perry the platypus, the best O.W.C.A. agent to date.

The semi-aquatic mammal was ready for any of the attackers, yet none dared to approach him. They knew what he was capable of. Even though it was dozens against one, they knew he wouldn't have any problem taking them all on.

Perry gave a bit of a sly smirk as he relaxed from his attack stance. They all knew what would happen now: He would leave with Doof at his tail and they couldn't do anything to change it.

And that was exactly what happened.

"Uh, P-Perry the Platypus?" The man looked down at the mammal, who looked back at him. "Th-Thanks for rescuing me back there. It means a lot to me."

The animal chattered and gave him a light smile. He would have done it for the man, weather he was on the evil side or not. They had developed a bit of a bond over the past few years. Enemies had become frienamies, and now friends.

"No, really." Doof insisted, squatting down so he was closer to the mammal's height. "I mean it. How many times have you saved me? I've only ever saved you, like, a few times. I really do owe you big time."

Perry placed both of his paws on the man's hand. "Gyururur." They looked in each other's eyes, and Doof saw it right away. He knew that things would be more like this from now on. They would always have each one another's back whenever possible.

"Thank-you, Perry the platypus." He smiled back, standing back up, but not relinquishing his grip on the furry little paw. It make him feel comfort. It reminded him of the various other times they had held hands, and that was when he realized something: Everything that had happened between himself and Perry, the good and the bad, it was all leading up to this. His becoming an agent was always in the works, they just didn't know it.

Well now, things were going to get better. Much better...
