Perry looked up at Doofenshmirtz, who was standing at the door, saying good-buy to his date.
Yup. Date.
He had begun dating again, and he had actually found a woman! She was a fair bit younger than him, but neither seemed to mind. She was pretty, short dark hair and bright blue eyes aiding in that. She was a little shorter than Doof, but he was just tall, so that was natural.
At first, the man had been nervous, so he had asked the platypus to just be there for him, in case anything happened. However, as the date went on, they had warmed up to one another, and it seemed almost as though they had known each other for ages!
"Y'know," She spoke. "I had a lot of fun tonight."
"Yea, me too!" He agreed.
"And I was wondering if, maybe..." She rubbed her arm. "if maybe you wanted to have another date?"
He just stood there for a moment before grinning and saying, "Y-Yea! Oh, yea! I'd love to have another date!"
"OK!" She smiled. "Another one it is!"
They just stood there, smiling at one another until something shocking happened. Doof slowly leaned in a little, and he closed his eyes. Her breath hitched, and she looked panicked. She was looking around, as though trying to figure out what to do.
Then she saw Perry.
In one swoop, she picked him up and held him out, so instead on connecting with her lips, Doof connected with the platypus' beak.
Perry had to take a moment to try and figure out what was going on. Once he finally realized they were kissing, he began to squirm. This...he couldn't even figure out a word to describe what was going through his mind.
It was over as soon as it had started. He was back on the ground, looking up at the two from his back. Right away, he fled to the balcony.
He needed some air.
He was leaning on the railings when Doof came out. "Wow!" He swooned. "What a woman! She's amazing!"
'If only you knew...' Perry thought, mentally shaking his head. That kiss... He wasn't sure what he wan'ted to call it. It was awkward and gross, but at the same time, it was...interesting. If he actually liked the man like that, he would have probably said it was good. But he didn't, so he wouldn't say that.
Except... Could he like the man like-
No! Don't be rediculous! He didn't! The kiss was nothing! Doof didn't even know who he was kissing! It meant nothing! Absolutely nothing, and he would continue on like nothing had happened, and these feelings would all go away.
"And that kiss was really good too."
The platypus wasn't even sure how to respond to that, even if he could.
